– TNA President Dixie Carter noted on Instagram yesterday that she was flying out to Los Angeles, perhaps for discussions about a new domestic TV deal.
PWInsider notes that POP TV, the former TV Guide Channel, and WGN America seem to be the leading candidates for the future home of Impact Wrestling. Both would put TNA in more homes than Destination America. TNA and WGN had talks before TNA signed with Destination America but the deal didn’t work out as they wanted TNA to stay off the air until the spring of 2015.
POP TV currently airs Paragon Pro Wrestling from Las Vegas early on the weekends and there’s talk that TNA may pay for their own timeslot, then make their money back by selling advertising.
The POP TV headquarters and United Talent Agency offices are both located in Los Angeles. UTA is still representing TNA in their TV negotiations.
