– As noted, TNA made a big play for AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows for their POP TV Impact Wrestling premiere earlier this month. They offered Anderson a deal in the $200,000 range but he turned them down for WWE.
In regards to new TNA contracts that are being offered with guarantees, TNA is trying to control outside bookings once again. New deals still allow talents to work indies but promoters must go through TNA to book their televised talents. These new deals would include guaranteed money, said to be a decent figure, instead of per-night deals. These new deals are also likely just for top talents that are being pushed in 2016. One talent with a significant push planned for this year was being offered a $60,000 deal.
On a related note, TNA has told talents that they are planning to get more aggressive with merchandising later this year.
