Jeff Hardy is scheduled to return to WWE television this Monday on Raw in The Ultimate Deletion match between Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt, according to Dave Meltzer in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Meltzer notes that people close to the situation do not know if Jeff will be edited out of the finished product but if he does not appear in what airs on Monday, then WWE made the decision to edit him out due to his DWI arrest on Mar. 10. The match between Matt and Wyatt was filmed at Matt’s home in Cameron, North Carolina on Mar. 8.
WWE responded to the arrest with a statement saying, “Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”
According to WWE.com’s preview for The Ultimate Deletion, Matt’s family will be part of the match as spectators.
“This contest promises to challenge everything we know about combat, both physically and psychologically, as The Woken One’s own family — including Queen Rebecca, King Maxel, Lord Wolfgang, Senor Benjamin and his drone, Vanguard 1 — bears witness to the mind-bending confrontation.”
Queen Rebecca, who of course is Matt’s wife Reby, posted a photo of the family from the day of the shoot.
There was a fan comment saying Brother Nero (Jeff) is needed for Ultimate Deletion and Reby responded by saying that “he is not needed.”
She wrote, “Matt has busted his ass to get to this point. He & I have been fighting for this to happen for nearly a year. After the hard work & $50k+ in legal fees that *WE* paid, I’m gonna have to say NO. He is not “needed”. Jeff is clearly doing his own thing & it has nothing to do with us right now.”
