Backstage News On Hideo Itami’s WWE Debut, Finn Balor Tweets On Christmas Raw, WWE Star Turns 32

– Though he was scheduled to debut on 205 Live last Tuesday, Hideo Itami ended up arriving on the WWE main roster one night earlier.

Itami debuted on Raw and made the save for Finn Balor after his Handicap Match against Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. The Miztourage got disqualified and were beating down Balor before Itami came out, and Itami and Balor then faced Axel and Dallas in a tag team match. Itami pinned Axel after hitting the GTS.

The idea of debuting Itami on Raw instead of 205 Live was to make him look like a bigger star before he officially joined the cruiserweight division.

– In a message on Twitter, Finn Balor said it’s hard leaving home on Christmas Eve to work Raw on Christmas, but his mom gave him some perspective on the situation.

Its always hard leaving home, even harder on Xmas eve.
I told my mum
‘I’m sorry that we have RAW on Xmas day & I have to go wrestle’
She replied
‘Well isn’t it better than you NOT being able to go wrestle on raw on Xmas day!’
