Another Former WWE Women’s Champion Added To Evolution

WWE Evolution

WWE Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze (aka Madusa) will be on hand for WWE Evolution, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

Blayze, or Madusa if you will, joins fellow former Women’s Champions Ivory and Molly Holly as the latest names set for the October 28 show, although the three have not yet been publicly announced by WWE. It’s not known what their roles will be on the show and if they will be wrestling.

Blayze hasn’t wrestled for WWE since 1995, and as Madusa since 2002 (her one and only match at an independent wrestling show after WCW closed down).

Holly last competed in the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble Match in January, entering the contest at No. 12. She tossed Sarah Logan before getting eliminated by Michelle McCool.

Ivory hasn’t wrestled since 2006, and for WWE since 2003. Nonetheless, a WWE Superstar is interested in wrestling her at Evolution.

On October 6, Ivory tagged Bayley in a tweet complimenting her arm drag with the hashtag “#Evolution.” Bayley responded, “Let’s wrestle.”

Ivory responded, “Can I have a year to get in shape, first?!” Bayley then said, “How about I give you until Oct. 28?”

There’s a personal connection between the two as Bayley met Ivory when she was 12 years old and the then-WWE star asked her if she’s going to see her in the ring one day.

“I remember having the opportunity to meet Ivory as a kid, and she was the first woman’s wrestler that I met. She looked at me and said, ‘I’m going to see you in the ring one-day aren’t I?'” Bayley said in an interview earlier this year.

“I took that sign that I was going to make it and then I met her again at Wrestlemania 30 or 31 as a member of the WWE roster and told her that story.”
