WWE released announcer Alex Reyes this afternoon, reports PWInsider.com.
Reyes, whose real name is Alex Del Barrio, was hired by the company last October after trying to break in as announcer since 2004 when he was in college. He appeared as a backstage announcer on NXT programming, host at non-televised NXT live events, and assisted development talent in their promos at the WWE Performance Center.
Prior to joining WWE, Del Barrio announced for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion in Texas and the Harlem Globetrotters.
He tweeted the following after changing his display name back to Alex Del Barrio.

He is the third member of WWE’s broadcast team to be released within the last month, following Rich Brennan (real name Rich Bocchini) and Kyle Edwards (Arda Ocal).
