Alberto Del Rio Likely On His Way Out Of WWE

It appears that fans have seen the last of Alberto Del Rio inside a WWE ring.

The 39-year-old is currently serving a 30-day suspension for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy and it doesn’t look like he will be returning to action once it is over.

Dave Meltzer revealed on the post-Raw edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Del Rio is currently not scheduled for any WWE shows after his suspension concludes. It has been reported that Del Rio has an out-clause in his contract in September, which would allow him to leave the company if he chooses to exercise it.

WWE announced on Aug. 17 that Del Rio and his real-life girlfriend, Paige, had been suspended for 30 days for their first violations of the company’s talent wellness policy. Apparently, it was not a coincidence as according to Meltzer, they weren’t suspended for the same violation.
