AJ Styles will get his rematch for the WWE Championship next month at WWE TLC.
It was announced tonight on SmackDown LIVE that Daniel Bryan will defend the WWE Championship against Styles at TLC in San Jose, California on December 16. Styles’ reign as WWE Champion ended on November 13, with Bryan winning the title from him and turning heel in the process.

Bryan cut a promo where he called himself “the new Daniel Bryan.” He spoke in the third person and said the act of betrayal he committed wasn’t last week; it was when he retired nearly three years ago and gave up on his dreams. He said the difference between him and the fans is that he doesn’t accept failure.
Bryan blamed the fans for moving on. He said the “Yes!” chants grew quieter every week and he stopped fighting, but his dreams took over when he gave Styles a low blow and won the WWE Championship. His dreams told him he didn’t need to defeat Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series to win. He won by allowing Lesnar to beat the weakness out of him.
