– On Twitter, Carmella responded to a fan who doubts that she’s rich from working for WWE.
The SmackDown Women’s Champion noted yesterday morning on Twitter that she’s flying first class.

A Carmella fan responded, “queen of being rich.” A fan named Joe responded to the fan’s tweet and tagged Carmella with the following statement, “She’s not rich, she only makes 120k a year. One of the lowest on the payroll. I’m sure she makes a little more as champ but she’s still pretty low.”

While WWE salary numbers are kept private, it’s quite possible that $120,000 is her base salary. She’s likely still on her contract when she was promoted from NXT to the main roster in a minor role in July 2016. Those who get promoted to the main roster usually earn around $100,000 in base salary for their first few years.
Since Carmella is now SmackDown Women’s Champion, she would earn considerably more through pay-per-view events, merchandise sales, appearances, and often working house shows.
