With Brock Lesnar signing a new contract with WWE, the word backstage at Raw is that as part of that deal, Paul Heyman has come to terms on a new agreement as well.
PWInsider first reported the news and F4WOnline’s Dave Meltzer confirmed it. Meltzer notes that Heyman’s deal is short-term.
Heyman had made it clear in media appearances to promote his Paul Heyman Live event in New Orleans that leading into WrestleMania weekend, he expected WrestleMania to be his final appearance if Lesnar departed the company.
With Lesnar’s immediate future thought to be in the UFC and with Heyman set to begin developing some TV projects, there were some questions as to his future with the company. However, on Monday, WWE announced that Lesnar re-signed with the company and will be on the company’s big upcoming Saudi Arabia show, the Greatest Royal Rumble. However, no financial terms or length of the deal were disclosed there either.
