After confirming the news on Thursday night, WWE held a press conference at MetLife Stadium on Friday to officially reveal the New York/New Jersey area as the location for WrestleMania 35 and the company’s events surrounding the show.
Stephanie McMahon, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Ronda Rousey, John Cena, John Saboor (WWE’s executive vice president of special events), Sheila Oliver (the lieutenant governor of New Jersey), and Brett Yormark (the CEO of Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment) spoke, and The New Day opened and closed the press conference.
WWE called WrestleMania 35 a return home, revealed the logo for the event, and touted that Rousey will be wrestling at the show.
April 7th, 2019 is the official date for WrestleMania 35 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York will be hosting next year’s Hall of Fame ceremony, the WrestleMania weekend NXT TakeOver special, and the post-Mania episodes of Raw and SmackDown.
