James Michael Curtin, who was known as Rockstar Spud in Impact Wrestling, is scheduled to begin working for WWE at next week’s television events.
According to PWInsider.com, the plan is for Curtin to be part of the 205 Live brand, which means he would be appearing on Monday Night Raw as well. It has not been confirmed as to when he’ll actually debut and if he’ll have a new ring name.
Curtin, 34, was the first-ever winner of Impact’s British reality competition series British Bootcamp. After being signed, he was used as a wrestler, personality, and even ring announcer over the course of his run with TNA/Impact Wrestling from 2012 through 2017.
Spud requested a release from his contract with Impact Wrestling in September, which was granted. He signed with WWE in October and returned to Great Britain, waiting for his work visa paperwork to be handled.
