Nasser Alruwayeh, the first Kuwaiti man to sign a WWE developmental contract, made his wrestling debut at Thursday’s NXT live event in Lakeland, Florida.
In his first-ever wrestling match (not counting a battle royal), Alruwayeh teamed up with fellow rookie Mohamed Fahim against The Forgotten Sons’ Jaxson Ryker and Wesley Blake. The Forgotten Sons came out on top after Ryker hit Fahim with a powerbomb.
According to a fan in attendance, Alruwayeh got “busted open hard way,” which is an inside term for unplanned bleeding.
Here are a few photos of Alruwayeh from the match.

With a background in CrossFit, mixed martial arts and boxing, Alruwayeh impressed WWE coaches and training personnel during an invitation-only tryout that WWE held in Dubai in April 2017. Before a WWE live event in Abu Dhabi last December, Triple H presided over Alruwayeh’s contract signing. Triple H took the opportunity to also welcome Shadia Bseiso, who became the first Arab woman from the Middle East to sign with WWE.

Along with a few other athletes from across the globe, Alruwayeh and Bseiso reported to the WWE Performance Center in January.
