– Lilian Garcia, who has not appeared for WWE since undergoing surgery on April 10, 2015 to repair a torn meniscus in her right knee, is in Corpus Christi, Texas for tonight’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event. She will be making her return at the show to handle ring announcing duties with Eden.
The longtime ring announcer of Monday Night Raw sustained the injury last November while on tour with WWE overseas.
“It was one of those crazy things where I was just packing, I got up and I felt the knee [go],” Garcia stated to WWE.com. “I felt it right away, I told [WWE officials] about it and [they] said, ‘Let’s keep an eye on it.'”
Forewarning her return to the squared circle, Garcia remarked the following on Twitter on Saturday.
Much respect 2 @WWE Superstars&Divas who undergo injuries. 1 thing is trying 2 come back 2 announce but whole lot diff 2 comeback 2 wrestle!
