Why AJ Styles Hasn’t Been Wrestling On SmackDown Live, Cathy Kelley Looks At The Shield Reuniting

– While AJ Styles is a weekly fixture on SmackDown LIVE, he actually hasn’t wrestled on the show since beating Tye Dillinger on September 12.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer noted on Twitter that Styles hasn’t been wrestling on SmackDown LIVE as of late because WWE officials are saving him for dark matches after 205 Live to make sure fans don’t leave during the 205 Live tapings.

Styles will be in action this Sunday at WWE Hell in a Cell as he defends the United States Championship against Baron Corbin.
