In a longer message on Instagram, Marie said that she and WWE mutually agreed to part ways.
Marie’s departure from WWE had been expected for several months. It was reported in March that WWE would not be renewing her contract when it expired.

Her push came to an abrupt halt on August 18, as she was suspended for 30 days for violating the company’s wellness policy Marie was replaced by the returning Nikki Bella at SummerSlam as part of the six-woman tag team match and she never returned to television.
