Victoria González, who joined WWE last year, will be known as Reina González going forward.
This is according to her Instagram account.
Standing 6 feet and weighing 175 pounds, González trained out of the Gulf Coast Wrestling Alliance (GCWA) in Corpus Christi, Texas. Her father, Ricky González, worked with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels at the Texas Wrestling Academy (TWA) and competed for a variety of independent wrestling promotions dating back to 1984.
WWE signed González to a contract following a tryout at the Performance Center in May 2016. She began training at the Performance Center in October as part of a class including Aleister Black, Roderick Strong, Killian Dain and Sarah Logan.
Since joining WWE last year, González has competed on a couple of non-televised NXT live events in Florida. She has one NXT television appearance under her belt as she worked a women’s battle royal in April.
