Naomi and The Usos were scheduled to return to the ring this past weekend from Jey Uso and Naomi’s ankle injuries but that didn’t happen. Both were also brought to SmackDown but not used. The Usos did make an appearance on Talking Smack and confirm Jey’s injuries but they did not work the SmackDown or Tribute to The Troops tapings. The Usos are now scheduled to return to the ring at the Monday, December 26th WWE live event at Madison Square Garden but Naomi is not scheduled for any of the post-holiday live events.
Regarding Zack Ryder suffering the knee injury on this week’s SmackDown, there’s been no word on the results of his MRI from Wednesday but we know that Ryder was walking on crutches backstage at the arena on Tuesday. The Hype Bros were scheduled to work the Tribute to The Troops tapings in the match with Dolph Ziggler against SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Wyatt Family but they were pulled and replaced with Chad Gable and Jason Jordan. WWE will likely make a decision on The Hype Bros being the #1 contenders once they know more on Ryder’s injury.
WWE posted this Fallout video of Ryder being tended to in the trainer’s room:
