We reported earlier that this evening’s scheduled bout between Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton has been cancelled. This is due to Randy Orton failing to be cleared in time to compete. He is currently unable to wrestle coming off his TKO loss to Brock Lesnar at Summerslam in Brooklyn. According to PWInsider, Orton has not passed WWE’s impact concussion test.
We’re still not sure how WWE is going to handle this situation, however it should be noted that Randy Orton is backstage in Richmond Virginia. Speculation now is that Kane will be Orton’s last minute replacement. Kane replaced Orton over the weekend in Raleigh and seems like a logical pick.
As was reported, the Orton vs. Lesnar rematch set for later this month at the non-televised WWE live event in Chicago is also up in the air. Meltzer adds that there’s no confirmation on Orton’s injury but he took a legitimate beating from Lesnar last month. WWE officials were hoping Orton would be cleared over the past week but he was not.
