– The Post-Gazette reports that Kurt Angle’s brother David was sentenced to 2 1/2 to 10 years in prison today for the September 2015 killing of his wife Donna Angle. The man plead guilty to one count of voluntary manslaughter in June and was just sentenced by Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Donna Jo McDaniel today.

The 63 year old Angle told police that on the morning of September 20th, 2015, he and his wife had a domestic dispute. He called 911 at 6:22am and said, “‘she was smacking me, I was smacking her. She fell on the floor. I had my knee on her chest, not long but long enough I guess. I tried to revive her and I can’t get her back. This has been 10 minutes.’ ”

The medical examiner’s office ruled that Donna Angle died from asphyxiation.
