– It’s been announced that Fox’s American Grit – hosted and produced by 15-time world heavyweight champion John Cena – has been renewed for a second season, despite rating exceptionally low. Season one featured Cena’s successful #ShowYourGrit social campaign, drawing more than 35 million impressions across all social media platforms. Cena took a two-month sabbatical from WWE to shoot the program, which is likely to happen again, especially now that Cena is operating on a lighter schedule.

– Above is the very first episode of “Rock The Promo,” a new wrestling promo contest on The Rock’s YouTube channel. Episode 1 features former WWE Superstar Kurt Angle. Rock the Promo is a contest where 32 finalists, chosen from thousands, go head-to-head through a single elimination bracket to determine who “has the biggest, baddest, and funniest wrestling persona!” Episodes are released via The Rock’s YouTube channel on Fridays featuring guest judges from the world of wrestling.
