As the widow of WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero, Vickie was a beloved figure when she entered WWE. It wasn’t long, however, before she revealed a darker side. Fans everywhere were shocked when she revealed a darker side. Fans everywhere were shocked when Vickie turned into a power-hungry witch who would stop at nothing to get what she wants.
Vickie became a regular on WWE television during the emotional rivalry between Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero in 2006. Appearing as a neutral party, she pleaded with them to call a truce. However, she later aligned with her nephew to defeat Mysterio.
In May 2007, Vickie was awarded the position of SmackDown‘s Assistant General Manager. She eventually gained full control when her boss, Theodore Long, suffered a heart attack. As a protégé of the popular Long, Vickie slowly began to regain the fans’ trust again. Vickie, however, then, revealed a torrid tryst with Edge. The cunning General Manager proceeded to abuse her power to ensure the “Rated-R Superstar” would become World Heavyweight Champion.
With championship gold strapped around her lover’s waist, Vickie began to build a powerful faction around her known as La Familia. Vickie continued to gain more power and satisfy her own agenda, while at the same time inciting WWE audiences with her shrieking “Excuse Me!!” catchphrase echoing from the rafters. After she split with Edge, a romance with Dolph Ziggler blossomed into a professional relationship. With Vickie at his side, Ziggler became one of the most impressive United States Champions in recent years. Envious of such success, Jack Swagger pleaded with Vickie to add him to her client list.
She’s seen action at Extreme Rules in 2009 in a Hog Pen Match, and laughed with Trish Stratus, Hornswoggle and ex-lover Edge: Vickie’s tagged with LayCool, and even donned the referee uniform all just to get what she wants. She’s been Miss WrestleMania, General Manager, an NXT Pro, and the premiere manager in WWE. Due to the tactics she employs, the WWE Universe regularly greets her with a cascade of boos. This cougar doesn’t care, she is out to make WWE her personal playground.
Vickie Guerrero Is Engaged To Be Married Again
June 19, 2015 – Vickie Guerrero has announced that she’s engaged to be married.
Posting a photo of her engagement ring on Facebook, she wrote, “Kris Benson….YES!! I will marry you!!!!”
Kris Benson is her boyfriend. Vickie’s former husband was Eddie Guerrero, the legendary pro wrestler who passed away due to heart failure in 2005. He was only 38-years-old and had been due to become WWE World Champion.
After Eddie’s death, Vickie became a major character on WWE television, arguably one of the finest heel performers in the last decade. Her promo skills were exceptional.
She left the company in 2014, looking for a new career in the field of Medical Administration. That may seem a little less glamorous than the WWE, but you have to consider that she probably grew tired of being on the road in her late forties. Her new life gives her the opportunity to be settled.
