Update on WWE Possibly Bringing Kurt Angle Back for the Brand Extension

Despite recent speculation and comments from Kurt Angle himself, it appears WWE will not be bringing back the Olympic Gold Medalist.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE confirmed on Thursday that they will not be bringing Angle back.

It’s no secret that WWE has been reaching out to former Superstars in an attempt to beef up the rosters for the upcoming Brand Extension and Angle stated on a recent Mark Madden radio show that he would returning, but didn’t know when, and had a conversation with Triple H about six weeks ago. Angle also mentioned that he had been contacted for the brand split but did not say a deal was in place.
