Rusev won a battle royal on tonight’s WWE RAW from St. Louis to become the new #1 contender to WWE United States Champion Kalisto.

The match also featured Apollo Crews, Viktor, Damien Sandow, Zack Ryder, Stardust, Sheamus, Titus O’Neil, Alberto Del Rio, Darren Young, Baron Corbin, Sin Cara, Dolph Ziggler, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Rusev eliminated Ryder to win, then celebrated with Lana while taunting Kalisto.

Rusev will likely get his title shot at the May 22nd Extreme Rules pay-per-view from Newark, NJ. Previously announced for Extreme Rules is AJ Styles vs. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns in an Extreme Rules Match and The Vaudevillains vs. WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day.
