Backstage News on Charlotte Winning the WWE Women’s Title at WrestleMania 32

– Many expected Sasha Banks to win the Triple Threat at WrestleMania 32 last night but Charlotte left with the new WWE Women’s Title.

There was a lot of back and forth among officials over the past week on who would get the title – Sasha or Charlotte, according to PWInsider. The decision to go with Charlotte was made a few days before the big event.

The original plan had the new title being introduced on tonight’s RAW but WWE changed course and did the reveal at WrestleMania last night.
