– As noted, WWE Tough Enough winner Josh Bredl, now using the name Bronson Mathews in WWE NXT, got a bunch of backstage heat this week after referring to WWE’s Social Outcasts stable as “jobbers.” This led to angry tweets from Kevin Owens, Stardust, Heath Slater, Curtis Axel and Adam Rose, among others.
It was noted that Bredl had people on the main roster and in NXT upset as they felt he disrespected the Social Outcasts when he didn’t have the right to, because he came into the company through Tough Enough with a $250,000 contract.
It was mentioned by Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live that Bredl’s heat was a hot topic within WWE, to the point that some people, presumably WWE officials or someone backstage with some seniority, were ready to “step in.”
On a related note, things could get interesting at the WWE Royal Rumble on Sunday as most of the NXT roster, including Bredl, are scheduled to be backstage because the Rumble is in Orlando.
