Backstage Notes on WWE Sending NXT Stars to EVOLVE Later This Month

– As noted, the next move in the working relationship between WWE and WWN Live is NXT General Manager William Regal, Chad Gable and Jason Jordan appearing at the January 23rd EVOLVE event in Orlando, Florida during Royal Rumble weekend.

Ticket sales for the event reportedly surged after the announcement. The news also resulted in several wrestlers signing up for the pre-show training seminar that EVOLVE is hosting as some feel WWN Live could be a way into WWE NXT.

Talks to have the NXT stars appear at the EVOLVE event started just a week ago, according to PWInsider, and were finalized the same day booker Gabe Sapolsky made the announcement on Twitter. WWE is allowing the appearances to help EVOLVE out and as you can imagine, EVOLVE officials are very excited.

For those still wondering, Gable and Jordan will be signing autographs but will not be wrestling or appearing on the show. Regal will be appearing as a part of the live event but it could just be for the live crowd in Orlando. It was noted that Regal is coming with a purpose, indicating a storyline with some of the EVOLVE talents.
