– WWN Live will be honoring WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk on April 2nd at their “Mercury Rising” iPPV in Dallas, Texas during WWE’s WrestleMania 32 weekend. They announced the following this week:
“We are very proud to announce that WWN Supershow: Mercury Rising 2016 on April 2nd at the WWNLive Experience in Dallas, TX will be a Night Of Appreciation For Terry Funk. We always strive to move the art of pro wrestling forward in the WWN Family. Sometimes the best way to do that is to pay homage to those that blazed the trail in the past. Mercury Rising 2016 will feature a ceremony honoring Mr. Funk. The legend will also be available for photos and autographs. Go to www.MoreThanMania.com for tickets and info.”
– As noted, Mojo Rawley’s good friend and New England Patriots player Rob Gronkowski attended last night’s WWE live event in Providence, Rhode Island. PWInsider reports that Gronk is strongly considering purchasing the WWE – Tapout gym franchise in Buffalo, New York, when the project launches. Gronk is from the Buffalo area. As noted, WWE and Tapout are planning on launching a bunch of co-branded gyms across the country some time in 2016, with a lot of involvement from WWE stars and other celebrities.
