– WrestlingDVDNetwork.com reports that WWE’s “Owen Hart: Hart of Gold” DVD and Blu-ray that comes out next month features new and archived interview footage from Vince McMahon, Tyson Kidd, Natalya, Jim Neidhart, Davey Boy Smith, Triple H, Mick Foley, Edge, Scott Hall, Chris Jericho, Lex Luger and referee Mike Chioda, among others. WWE also shot new interview footage with Owen’s siblings Bret Hart, Keith, Ross, Bruce, Alison, Diana, Ellie and Georgia. The DVD does not feature Owen’s widow Martha or his kids, Oje and Athena. They were not expected to be included as Martha is not supporting the project.
– As noted, WWE announced a big NXT TV taping for the University of Central Florida during Royal Rumble weekend on January 22nd. For those still asking, this will not be a live Takeover special. Triple H called it the “biggest Orlando taping ever” on his Twitter and with the CFE Arena being able to hold 10,000 people, it will likely be set up for around 7,000-7,500, still making it the largest NXT event ever in Florida.
– Axl Rotten noted on Twitter that fellow ECW Original Hack Meyers was at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore yesterday to undergo brain surgery. Rotten tweeted the following:
