AJ Lee Returns To Raw, Makes Fun Of Pregnancy Rumors

Well, it looks like AJ Lee isn’t pregnant!

Competing in a WWE ring for the first time since the Raw after WrestleMania 30, AJ Lee returned to the company to capture the Divas Championship from the woman she lost it to, Paige.

AJ surprised fans by interrupting Paige during a promo. She said, “Paige … look, I just wanted to come out here and say that you’re right. This isn’t entirely easy for me to say but you’re right. I mean, you did what no woman in almost a year could do. You proved me wrong. You proved everyone wrong. And I know the kind of person I became. I let success go to my head. And, granted, I was the longest reigning Divas champion of all time. But I shouldn’t have rubbed it in everyone’s face like I did. I thought I was untouchable. And you gave me the slap of reality that I needed. So I wanted to return the favor. And say thank you and congratulations.”

Paige, who was on the defensive to begin with, initially refused to put her title on the line. AJ then said, “Well, Paige, my sweet little crumpet. Why don’t we let everyone here decide. Do you guys want to see a championship rematch right now?”

With the crowd behind her, AJ goaded the champion into a match and won it in fairly short order to regain the Divas Championship.

The other story coming out of AJ’s return is that she is obviously not pregnant, as had been rumored. The unpredictable Diva poked fun at the rumor by basking over being reunited with her “baby” in her post-match address.

“I wanted my baby back, it’s been too long,” she remarked in the “Backstage Fallout” video. She continued, “I didn’t go out there expecting to get a title match, I was just returning the favor that Paige gave to me when she went and congratulated me after WrestleMania, and it just happened to end up, the exact same way. Except this time – mama’s reunited with baby.”

Michael Cole also had fun with this as he remarked following her victory, “She has her baby back.”
