Daniel Vidot, a 25-year-old Australian professional rugby league footballer who currently plays for the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League, participated in a three-day tryout at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida this week, according to foxsports.com.au.
“They first approached me last year but I was playing good football with the Broncos, so I didn’t take it seriously. Then just recently they contacted me again and I’ve decided I’m going to have a crack at it,” Vidot told The Courier Mail last month.
Vidot, who is 6-foot-2 and weighs 231 pounds, noted, “The WWE talent scout reckons I’ve got the size and the look they are after so I’m going to give it a go.”
Vidot said if he doesn’t join WWE, he will continue his rugby career.
