During the Oct. 8 WWE NXT television taping, former TNA World Heavyweight Champion James Storm made his debut after speculation that he signed a WWE contract. Storm defeated Danny Burch with the Eye of the Storm, in a match that is currently scheduled to air during the Oct. 21 show. According to fans in attendance, Storm was playing the face role.
The official Twitter accounts of NXT and Triple H, as well as WWE’s Instagram account, sent out the following about Storm’s debut.

There have been a lot of rumors that Storm has signed with WWE, but no official word on the contract. Storm was apparently backstage at NXT Takeover: Respect event, but did not make an appearance.
