– The NFL’s Minnesota Vikings may have revealed that WWE WrestleMania will be coming to their new stadium in a video posted to their website this week.
Vikings VP of Public Affairs Lester Bagley talks about the new $1 billion US Bank Stadium being built and made these comments:
“Before the building is even open, we have already secured the Super Bowl in 2018, the NCAA basketball Final Four in 2019. We are a finalist and seem to be in a very good position to secure the college football playoffs, the BCS Championship game and you know we’ve got WrestleMania coming.”
No word yet on which WrestleMania could be coming to Minnesota but the earliest would be WrestleMania 33 in 2017 as next year’s show is taking place in Dallas. Rumors of WWE hosting their biggest show with the Vikings have been around for some time and in January, the team hired Patrick Talty as their new General Manager for the stadium. Talty previously worked as WWE’s Senior VP of live events.
