Chyna Offers Her Side Of The Story On Meeting With Triple H At “Rowdy” Roddy Piper’s Funeral

Chyna has has come under a lot of heat after her ex-boyfriend Sean Waltman revealed that she had “bum rushed” and confronted Triple H during the funeral of WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper this week.

Waltman later acknowledged that Laurer never actually crashed the funeral, as someone informed him that she had been invited. Even so, her behaviour towards Hunter was still deemed inappropriate considering the circumstances.

To explain her side of the story, Laurer recently took to YouTube, posting a video on what actually happened at the funeral.

It was brought to my attention yesterday on Twitter by someone who was not there that an accusation that I crashed Roddy Piper’s funeral, that I bum rushed Hunter, security almost escorted me out.

It saddens me that I have to respond to any of this anyway, but I feel that I have no choice. So, for those of you who weren’t there…this is what happened:

I don’t have to justify my relationship with Roddy to anybody. He’s been a dear friend for over a decade and his family, and secondly, I didn’t even know Hunter was going to be there. He was there, I saw him, at the end, everybody was paying their respects to each other, I was in front of Hunter, so I very calmly took the opportunity to wrap my arms around him and whisper in his ear how deeply sorry I was for anything I’ve said under emotional distress with everything I’ve gone through…I know it’s understandable, but I realize it’s not justifiable. And I wanted to tell him that, for me.

There was no altercation, no security, it was tender moment, between two people who once cared about each other, and grieving over a lost friend. That’s it.

As far as Roddy goes, may he rest in peace, and it was an honor to be there.

Earlier this year, Chyna accused Triple H of physically abusing her during their romantic relationship over a decade ago. During an interview with Vince Russo in February, Chyna said, “That’s great, but don’t punch girls, and you don’t treat them like that, and ruin their entire career and life, and never speak another word to them.”

When asked by Russo to elaborate, she continued, “I think Hunter’s plan was to get me to leave the relationship first. That way he could start dating Stephanie and everything would be cool. We got into a heated argument. We were not getting along. I told him ‘I know something’s going on; don’t tell me something’s not going on.’ He swiped my hand, I swiped his hand, and then he hit me. And that’s a deal-breaker for me. The relationship is now over. After that I know that he was crying, and I know that he felt bad that he hit me. I was just in shock; it felt like a Jerry Springer moment, it was very surreal. I just couldn’t believe that he hit me.”

Chyna repeated her claim in multiple interviews, including the Opie with Jim Norton talk radio show in June. Her remarks on the show led Triple H to release a statement through his publicity manager: “The false statements and reckless allegations Joan Laurer (aka Chyna) continues to make about a physical dispute are a complete fabrication. As I’ve said in the past, while Joan has had significant struggles in life, this does not justify making such claims.”

Since then, Chyna has attempted to get in contact with WWE officials through various means in an attempt to bury the hatchet, but the company has shown no interest in communicating with her. Last week, she released this video on YouTube of her manager calling WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut seeking royalties, which ends with a secretary telling him she was instructed not to pass along any calls in regards to her.
