Five NXT Superstars have new names.
The official website of the WWE Performance Center has new names listed for Adrian Jaoude, Eric Bugenhagen, Jessie Elaban, Luke Menzies and Trevor Lee.
Brazil native Jaoude is now Arturo Ruas. In addition to wrestling for NXT, Jaoude has become a regular for EVOLVE over the past few months.
Bugenhagen is now Rik Bugez, which is what he often refers to himself as on social media. Bugenhagen has gotten over with fans at NXT house shows with a gimmick where he pretends to play air guitar. He wrestled Drew Gulak on an episode of NXT in February and took part in a battle royal at Worlds Collide as part of WrestleMania Axxess in April.
Elaban is now Jessi Kamea. She’s primarily wrestled at house shows in Florida since her debut in October 2017. Elaban made her WWE Network debut in last year’s Mae Young Classic, losing to Taynara Conti in the first round. She made her NXT television debut last month in a loss to Vanessa Borne.
Lee is now Cameron Grimes. A three-time X Division Champion in IMPACT Wrestling, Lee reported to the WWE Performance Center in February. He’s been wrestling at NXT house shows in Florida but has yet to make his television debut.
Menzies is a former rugby player who transitioned to professional wrestling two years ago in Europe. He joined WWE in 2018 and has primarily worked house shows in Florida.
