Ronda Rousey Says The ‘Women’s Evolution Was Robbed’ After Becky Lynch Suspension

Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey

The road to WrestleMania 35 took a detour for Becky Lynch last night on Raw.

Just before Raw ended, Vince McMahon suspended Lynch for 60 days, a stretch that expires five days after WrestleMania. He then announced Charlotte Flair will challenge Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Vince called Charlotte someone with charisma, someone with charm, and someone who knows their lane and stays in it. Vince raised Charlotte’s hand and said that’s what Rousey will be seeing when Charlotte defeats her.

Earlier in the night, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon told Lynch she would have to apologize for striking them last week if she wanted to remain on the WrestleMania 35 card. “The Man” offered a half-hearted apology, which was apparently enough for The Authority. Rousey then confronted Lynch in the ring and they got interrupted by Vince.

Rousey took to Instagram today to criticize the move.

“This isn’t what’s best for business. This isn’t what’s in demand. I have no idea what the hell this is. Vince McMahon doesn’t even believe in his own girl @charlottewwe – If he didn’t make us the main event of #SurvivorSeries he’s sure as hell not making us the main event of #WrestleMania. The #WomensEvolution was robbed tonight.”

Lynch had a more blunt response.

Charlotte’s happy though.
