Details on the Podcast One Issues with Roddy Piper and Steve Austin

– As noted, Roddy Piper has been dropped from his WWE Legends deal, according to Ric Flair, due to Piper’s recent issues with Steve Austin over Podcast One.

The issues started when Piper claimed that Austin got Piper’s podcast pulled from Podcast One after satirical comments made by comedian Will Sasso, impersonating Austin, on a Piper’s Pit podcast that took place a while back after WrestleMania 31.

Austin said earlier this week that he’s 50 years old and has no time for “soap opera” stuff. Austin said he had nothing to do with Piper getting removed from Podcast One. Austin said he contacted the President at Podcast One and was told that Piper asked for a meeting with them, then telling the company that he no longer wanted to do a podcast for them.

Austin said he’s not to blame for Piper leaving and said Piper wanted to leave. Austin was under the impression that Piper can return to Podcast One if he wants to. Austin added that there are on hard feelings towards Piper.

Piper plans to address the situation on his next podcast. He tweeted:

“This will be cleared up and gone after my next Podcast! I heard what Steve said! Respect! My Honor’s not for sale!”
