— One week after Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins placed the blame for Monday Night Raw’s recent decline squarely on the shoulders of “General Manager-Elect” Baron Corbin, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon will return to the red brand tonight to “shake things up.”
According to WrestleVotes, McMahon’s appearance tonight is seen as a sign of desperation since he really doesn’t to appear on TV.
“Tonight’s Vince McMahon angle is legitimately intriguing. I’ve heard Vince really didn’t want to come back to TV, so this shows signs of desperation. Is he really going to hit the “reset” button? Not sure, but RAW is in need of a facelift either way.”
Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer has said over the years that McMahon considers himself too old to appear on television on a regular basis. McMahon, who is 73 years old, stopped appearing regularly in 2010.
