During a sit-down interview with Maria Menounos on Wednesday, Sasha Banks revealed why she was absent from WWE television for several weeks.
“I was having head pain and I couldn’t function,” Banks said on Conversations with Maria Menounos. “I couldn’t even drive, I couldn’t sleep and I’m like, ‘I need to go get checked out.’”
Banks said she went to several neurologists and was told she had post-concussion symptoms. They advised her to rest.
Banks said she was scared that she wouldn’t make it to WWE Evolution. “The Boss” says she’s back to normal and ready for Sunday, where she will team with Bayley and Natalya in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match against The Riott Squad.
This recap comes from a short clip of Sasha’s appearance, which was posted on Menounos’ YouTube channel. Strangely, the video has since been deleted while two other two clips from her appearance remain online. It definitely looks like WWE wanted the video pulled. WWE was silent on Sasha’s injury status since she was dealing with a concussion and you can bet they wouldn’t want her talking about it either.
In the clip below, Sasha talks about teaming with Bayley and the possibility of a women’s tag team division.
In the other clip, Sasha reveals how she and her peers learned of Roman Reigns’ announcement on his battle with leukemia.
