After it was reported that WWE’s Crown Jewel event at King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday, November 2 got removed from WWE.com’s event calendar, WWE issued a statement today saying it will take place in Saudi Arabia as scheduled.
WWE issued the statement to F4WOnline’s Dave Meltzer, who reported the event as being removed from WWE.com’s event calendar.
WWE says Saudi Arabia show is still on as scheduled.

WWE also noted to Meltzer that Crown Jewel should be listed on their schedule.
As it turns out, Meltzer’s report of Crown Jewel being removed from WWE.com’s schedule is false. According to some people on Reddit, the event was never listed on their calendar in the first place (for some unknown reason). I also haven’t been able to find an event page on Crown Jewel on WWE.com (listing time and location, featured stars, a link to buy tickets, etc…).
WWE.com still has a section on the event listing all the scheduled matches, though references to Saudi Arabia have been removed.
According to Meltzer, it was known a few days ago that backup ideas were being talked about in the event such a decision to pull the show from Saudi Arabia was made.
There are a number of huge ramifications of the show not taking place in Saudi Arabia if that is even the case. WWE is likely to have Monday as a soft deadline since they would either promote the show hard on Raw or having to go with whatever new plan is in place.
Should WWE cancel their event in Saudi Arabia, it’s possible they could reschedule Crown Jewel for two days later on Sunday, November 4 in Manchester, England. The company is already scheduled to tape television in the Manchester Arena on the following Monday (Raw) and Tuesday (SmackDown LIVE). According to the venue’s website, the building is open on Sunday to make it a three-day run in Manchester. Doing so would allow WWE to put a positive spin on the news, giving the avid United Kingdom fan base its first pay-per-view event since 1992.
