WWE did not provide additional details on Strowman’s procedure or set a timetable for his return.
Strowman actually underwent surgery to remove bone spurs from his elbow. Following the procedure, he tweeted the following:

Less than 24 hours after undergoing surgery, Strowman began rehabbing his injured elbow with a light exercise (as seen in the video below, which comes from his Instagram Story). “The Monster Among Men” also said he’s coming for Corbin, Lashley, and McIntyre.
Here is our original report on his injury.
Braun Strowman will be out of action for at least a few weeks after WWE did an injury angle on Raw the night after Survivor Series.
During the Six-Man Elimination Tag Team Match, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, and Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin brutally assaulted Strowman and smashed “The Monster Among Men”‘s right arm with the steel steps.
According to WWE.com, “Strowman sustained serious injuries in the attack and underwent an evaluation by medical personnel to determine the extent of the damage.”
Later in the show, Michael Cole reported that Strowman suffered a shattered elbow.
Strowman teamed with Finn Balor and Elias. The technical outcome was a no-contest. You can watch the attack in the video below.

Earlier in the night, Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon scheduled a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match between Strowman and Corbin at next month’s WWE TLC pay-per-view. If Strowman defeats the Acting Raw General Manager, he will get a Universal Championship Match against Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble, and Corbin will lose all authority. If Corbin wins, then he will become the permanent General Manager of Monday Night Raw.
During the post-Raw edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said the angle was done so that Strowman could take time off to undergo surgery to remove bone spurs from his elbow.
“Braun Strowman is gonna have elbow surgery so the deal tonight was a cover for that,” Meltzer said.
Meltzer further noted that his status for his match with Corbin at TLC is touch and go at this point, and will depend on the seriousness of the surgery. The belief among WWE officials is that Strowman will be able to face Lesnar at Royal Rumble.
According to a report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, he was told that Strowman is scheduled to undergo surgery this Monday in Birmingham, Alabama. WWE is hoping he can work around the injury heading into TLC, but they won’t know until after surgery.
“It is believed to be a minor issue and something WWE can work around leading into the WWE TLC PPV,” Johnson said.
“The hope is that Strowman’s recovery time will be minimal and that the company can work around it, but until they perform the surgery this coming week, they won’t have 100% confirmation of that.”
Strowman underwent elbow surgery in May 2017, and while WWE announced at the time that he would miss six months, he returned in less than two months. WWE exaggerated how long he would be out of action for storyline purposes.
According to a report by Pro Wrestling Sheet, Strowman aggravated the injury during the Men’s Survivor Series Match. Doctors determined that surgery would be required afterward, so the decision was made to get it done now before WrestleMania season.
This time off will also allow him to recover from nagging leg injuries. While the injuries are said to not be too serious, he was healing slowly due to constantly being on the road and it also began to hinder his mobility and in-ring performance.
