Averno
Averno is a Mexican professional wrestler.
He is best known for his time in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), where he is a former World Middleweight
Champion as well as a three-time World Tag Team Champion. His ring name is the Spanish rendering of Avernus, the crater where
Aeneas descended into the underworld in Virgil's Aeneid and is most commonly translated as "Hell" in English. His real name
is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a
secret.
Averno reportedly signed a contract with WWE in May 2011.
